For years, Hayden was a full-time student and in his free time liked to play video games with his friends. After almost a decade of this largely sedentary lifestyle, his posture was terrible. The college that he attended offered yoga classes for students, and Hayden found yoga helped his posture tremendously. This relief was natural and holistic and as a result of moving the body more properly it helped relieve his low back and neck pain.

As Hayden’s parents aged, he started encouraging them to try yoga. As he guided them through the process, Hayden realized yoga can help everyone—from the very young to the elderly. Practicing yoga offers a multitude of advantages; it promotes physical strength and flexibility, enhances concentration and focus, and helps manage stress and anxiety. Specifically for the elderly population, yoga proves to be an essential tool in maintaining mobility and increasing balance, thereby reducing the risk of falls and injuries. Many people don’t know where to begin with starting yoga, and may get discouraged as a result. Hayden's goal is to provide a comprehensive and well-rounded learning experience for students in the realm of yoga.

This led Hayden to search for a practitioner-based form of yoga, so that he could give his parents (and others) the same benefits he was getting out of his practice. His search led him to find Thai Yoga. Thai Yoga is a traditional medical practice that has existed for thousands of years and is built on the belief that movement is medicine.  It proves that our body, like our spirit, is incredibly resilient and built with amazing grace.

The restorative capabilities of our own bodies are boosted by the practice; by stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system, we get out of that “fight-or-flight” mode.  Then, our body can spend energy healing itself instead of being in a tense survival mode. This is how Thai Yoga begins, and incorporates acupressure combined with therapeutic asanas to boost our immune system, stimulate circulation of blood, lymphatic fluid, lactic acid, and the fascial system.  Many health benefits and applications include but not limited to back/neck pain, arthritis, anxiety/depression, ADHD, PTSD, and so much more!

One of Hayden’s favorite stories of healing is with a client that is an 81-year-old British man with neuropathy; he couldn’t feel his feet very much at all and after one 90 minute session of Thai Yoga, he was able to regain noticeable feeling in both of his feet! He was a cancer survivor and had aged gracefully, and very appreciative. His wife was thoroughly surprised!

As a skilled and experienced practitioner of Thai yoga, Hayden is dedicated to healing individuals through his practice. Hayden possesses a deep understanding of the human body's energetic pathways and the therapeutic benefits that this unique form of bodywork can provide. It’s Hayden’s passion to help people heal!
